“Fiskardo Divers Eco-Dive-Resort” is a PADI Dive Centre run by a Master Scuba Trainer with extensive dive experience who has taught scuba diving in Fiskardo since 2000. Cédric, a French biologist, arrived in Fiskardo in 1999 in order to conduct underwater scientific research. He also created the Fiskardo Environmental Museum before founding Fiskardo Divers in 2005.
Fiskardo Divers is actively involved in promoting awareness and conservation of the marine fauna and flora through their exhibition centre and a variety of environmental projects. On a voluntary basis, Fiskardo Divers also regularly organize beach or harbour cleaning, and rescue abandoned animals.
At Fiskardo Divers we are fluent in French, English, Spanish, Greek, and also speak some Italian and German.
The Dive Center
The Dive Center is located on Fiskardo harbour in one of the oldest houses of the village. The house, built in 1870, has a beautiful vaulted room that was used in the past for storing the village’s salt. This is where we now store our diving gear and our compressor.
We also have, within the dive centre, some facinating displays on Marine Life, including whale, turtle and seal skeletons and a display charting the story of a Bristol Beaufighter – an English bomber shot down by the Germans in 1944 (and one of our dive sites).
Our dive centre is also equipped with a toilet, shower, seating and changing areas, as well as storage space for personal belongings.
Our compressor is a Paramina Typhoon Classic (15m3/h) with two 50 litre storage tanks for fast refilling. Our equipment: Scubapro regulators MK2+ and Scubapro BCD T-one.
Our diving equipment is annually tested by professionals and renewed frequently.
NEPTUNE III is a spacious and comfortable, 8m long wood and fiber glass boat licensed to carry 12 passengers and driven by a 140hp Yamaha engine.
She is spacious enough to allow room for divers to get kitted out prior to diving.
She also has a platform for easy dive entry, a long stable ladder for exiting the water, and a large roof to provide shade from the strong summer sun.
All necessary safety equipment including, a First AID Kit, Oxygen Kit, life jackets, and a VHF Radio, are onboard.
Neptune III is the perfect boat for diving in the area. Moored just 40 metres from the dive centre, it allows us access to a large range of dive sites in less than 30 minutes. It provides for a comfortable dive trip, is very convenient for family trips or those with a mixture of disciplines (e.g. snorkelling as well as diving), and is ideal for private charter.
